Are you having trouble with the French "Support" Services? Are
you fed up trying to ask a simple question only to be met by a
"You have to follow my check list of questions" type of
attitude?
Have you tried to get your system re-installed after your PC
crashed and you have been told "We had to re-format your hard
disk first so you've lost all your data"?Suddenly your PC
will not boot up? Virus, Malware or Hardware problem.
Have you had your hard disk suddenly start playing up and
seem to have lost all your work and family photos etc?
Has a "Nephew" or "Friend of the Family" visited and suddenly
you daren't let the kids on the PC as its full of 18+ images?
Lost your email or moved from AOL and want to transfer the
old emails to your PC?
You would like a Website to help promote your business
on-line.
The above are real examples of situations I have encountered.
Most of which have been resolved but then nobody is 100% perfect
especially when the Laptop has been thrown on the floor.
My experience is based on having worked in IT since 1973 when
a Mainframe didn't have the power of today's common Mobile
Phone.
Since then, in 1989, I started supporting PCs for Clients
developing systems with some of the most powerful Software in
use both then and today. In those days it was DOS but we moved
up together with Microsoft through all of the various phases of
Windows.
The Internet (or as it was then called - "Worldnet") was used
together with X400 mail - known today as e-mail - and, of
course, the Phone, to allow us to provide Support for some of
the most well known Companies worldwide. e.g. Airbus, Lufthansa,
Norwich Union, Deutsche Telekom and more locally Exclusive
Healthcare.
There are not many situations I haven't come across in my
past and I have learned that there is no such thing as a stupid
question. So if you feel that you may be getting lost and
could do with some help albeit for something that you think is
trivial, Call me, and I'll try to resolve your crisis.
